Libraries Website Vision & Purpose

The Libraries’ website supports discovery and the creation of knowledge, in alignment with the mission of the Libraries and Florida Atlantic University. As the primary gateway to the Libraries’ collections, services, and expert faculty and staff, the Libraries’ website and its integrated systems are central to research, teaching, and learning for FAU students, faculty, and the entire FAU community. The website also serves to promote the engagement of the FAU Libraries with our surrounding communities. The Libraries’ website aims to illuminate, inform, satisfy and delight its users with well-organized and accessible, user-focused, clear, accurate and engaging content.

Charge to the Committee

Reporting to the Dean of University Libraries and the Assistant Dean, Information Technology, Assessment, and Project Management, the Website Design Committee (WDC) is responsible for developing the design principles and strategic vision for the FAU Libraries’ website. The WDC is also responsible for overseeing the review and migration of existing web content, along with the implementation of web development projects. The WDC plans for the adoption of new web technologies and keeps informed about University guidelines for website development.

The WDC meets the last Thursday of every month.

Thank you For your Patience. We will be resuming our Web Meetings next month(March 2020).
