Emerging Technologies Committee (Sunsetted)
This committee is no longer active. It was responsible for overseeing the research, testing, implementation, and creation of standards for emerging technologies to services to our user population/enhance efficiency and work productivity of library staff. Following the Libraries strategic planning retreat in 2016, the Libraries adopted as one of its strategic goals to: Increase effective use of technology to improve library services and support a collaborative research and learning environment, including the expansion of web-based and other virtual library services and locally created digital collections.
With this strategic goal, it has become ingrained in all library faculty and staff to strive continually to make effective use of technology and to keep abreast of changing technologies that we can utilize to serve the FAU community better.
